April 11, 2018 Introduction to Continuous Chromatography at NIBRT (Dublin): Seminar & Workshop

ChromaCon, LEWA and  Merck KGaA are proud sponsors of the Introductory Course on Continuous Chromatography at the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Technology (NIBRT) in Dublin, Ireland. It will take place on April 11 - 12, 2018.

The seminar on day one and the hands-on workshop on day two can be booked separately. Further information and booking were accessible on the website of NIBRT.

Program overview

Day 1: Seminar on continuous biomanufacturing

Expert speakers from ETH Zurich, ChromaCon, LEWA and a process developer from a biopharma company will share their insights into continuous biomanufacturing, quality-by-design in continuous operations, and the scaling up of continuous chromatography processes.

  • End-to-end continuous biomanufacturing
    Prof. Massimo Morbidelli (ETH Zurich)
  • Continuous chromatography case studies
    Dr. Thomas Müller-Späth (ChromaCon)
  • Next generation continuous membrane chromatography processes
    Dr. Thomas Müller-Späth (ChromaCon)
  • Quality-by-Design and continuous processing
    Dr. Allesandro Butte (ETH Zurich)
  • Scale-up continuous bioprocessing systems
    Dr. Mary Jo Wojtusik (LEWA)
  • Next generation downstream processes: integrated continuous platform for antibody purification
    Tiago Albano, MSc (Univercells)
  • A novel cation exchange resin for the removal of mAb aggregate in flow-through frontal chromatography
    Dr. Romas Skudas (Merck)

Day 2: Lab workshop on continuous chromatography

The lab workshop provides hands-on training for continuous chromatography:

  • Overview over continuous processes
  • Process development of continuous processes
  • Hands-on training for processes design for continuous capture processes
  • Hands-on training for running continuous capture processes
  • Hands-on training for data evaluation of continuous capture processes
